Jules Hesse 100 133DR Jules Hesse is Graduated with a Cum Laude PT exam and thesis from SAFA Amsterdam in 1982. He was the first Physical Therapist in Europe in 1982 to be given a faculty position at the University of Amsterdam, Dental Faculty including teaching to dental students, research and patient management. His current clinical positions are senior consultant posts at the Free University Hospital (VUMC - Vrije Universiteit Medisch Centrum) and the Slotervaart Hospital, Dept. of Oral Surgery. Further, Dr. Hesse is clinical director of Sports Medical Center Fysiomed in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

He is known worldwide as lecturer worldwide various medical & dental specialists and physiotherapists.

Dr. Hesse is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP) and Co-founder Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT) with Dr. Jeff Mannheimer and Dr. Mariano Rocabado. Further, he was a co-founder of the Dutch Organization for Oro-Facial Therapists with Dr. Anton de Wijer.

Among his numerous research interests are the topics “Clinical and experimental investigations on Craniomandibular Border Characterictics and Orofacial Pain (PhD-thesis)” and “Headaches related to craniomandibular and craniocervical dysfunctions”. He has over 30 publications in textbooks and scientific literature.
