Bernhard Taxer, PhD,MSc, PT,MT (OMPT), EDPP (European Diploma in Pain Physiotherapy)

TEACHER - Bernhard Taxer completed his training as a physiotherapist in Innsbruck and gained early clinical experience in psychiatry and later in rehabilitation, where he led a physiotherapy team specialising in orthopedics and neurology.
During this time, his clinical and academic interest increasingly focused on persistent pain conditions, particularly in the craniofacial region.
From 2011 to 2024, Bernhard worked as a lecturer at the JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences in Graz while treating patients with persistent pain in clinical practice. He completed advanced manual therapy training (including Maitland), earned a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, obtained his OMPT diploma, and completed his PhD (med.scient.) at Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg with a focus on chronic migraine.
Since 2024, he has been working as a CRAFTA® certified Teacher, postdoctoral researcher in Salzburg, and continues his clinical work in his own physiotherapy practice, with teaching activities in national and international Bachelor and Master programs.
